Terms of Service for AgentGuard

Last updated: May 29, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of AgentGuard ("the App"), a macOS application provided by AI-Scarlett ("we", "our", or "us"). By downloading, installing, or using AgentGuard, you agree to these Terms.

Summary: AgentGuard is a local-first utility for monitoring and managing AI agent activity on your Mac. You remain responsible for how you configure the App and for the actions you approve or deny.

1. Use of the App

AgentGuard is provided to help you monitor AI agent file operations, review agent activity, manage local cleanup tasks, and optionally route agent approval requests through the App. You may use the App only in compliance with applicable laws, Apple platform rules, and these Terms.

2. Local Monitoring and Permissions

AgentGuard may request access to folders you choose, such as Downloads, Desktop, Documents, project folders, or AI agent configuration folders. This access is used to provide local monitoring, scanning, cleanup review, token statistics, and Agent Center integration features.

You are responsible for selecting appropriate folders and for ensuring you have the right to monitor or manage the files and AI agent activity on the Mac where the App is installed.

3. Agent Center and Approval Actions

AgentGuard may receive local AI agent events and approval requests through localhost or local Unix socket connections on your Mac. The App displays these requests so you can approve, deny, or respond to them.

You are solely responsible for decisions you make in response to approval requests, including allowing file writes, command execution, external app actions, or other AI agent operations.

4. Optional AI Analysis

If you configure an external large language model provider, AgentGuard may send selected analysis content directly from your Mac to the provider you choose. We do not operate, proxy, or control those third-party AI services. Your use of any external provider is subject to that provider's terms and privacy policy.

5. No Account and No Hosted Service

AgentGuard does not require an account with us and does not provide a hosted cloud service. App data is processed locally on your Mac unless you choose to use an external provider through optional features.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use AgentGuard to:

7. App Store Purchases and Updates

If AgentGuard is obtained through the Mac App Store, purchases, downloads, refunds, and updates are handled by Apple under Apple's applicable terms. We may update the App to add, change, or remove features, fix bugs, improve security, or comply with platform requirements.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

AgentGuard is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the App will detect every AI agent action, prevent every unwanted operation, remove every file safely, or be error-free.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AI-Scarlett will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, business, or goodwill arising from your use of AgentGuard.

10. Your Data and Privacy

Your use of AgentGuard is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how the App handles data locally and how optional external provider integrations work.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If material changes are made, we will make the updated Terms available through this page or through App Store release notes. Continued use of AgentGuard after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
